Analogue Pocket: all you need to know

Analogue announced last year 2019 the launch of its new portable console, Analogue Pocket which due to a series of delays will not be able to be carried out until next year 2021. A console compatible with the cartridges of its previous products such as the Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance which will allow you to play a total of more than 2780 video games thanks to the compatibility.

Multiple news and features about this new console have already been released. One of the most important is the change in design that has been made, now, the “Start, Select and Home” buttons will be located in the central part of the console and not on the right as has been done until then. Through this change, what the company intends is to provide the best comfort to the players. In this way, its appearance is a clear tribute to that of the Game Boy although they do not pretend that it is a replica of the same, they seek a more elegant design adapted to the new needs of users.

Another highlight is that they have included the ability to suspend the Analogue Pocket. By pressing the power button again, the game will return to exactly the same place you left it.

As for the screen, it will have a resolution of 1600 x 1440 pixels and the panel has been made three times wider than what we are used to in smartphones in order to ensure greater resistance to possible blows. Not only have they added these modifications to the screen but they have also made it with a 360º rotation to improve the experience in the special modes of some specific games.

Referring to the battery, it has a capacity of 4,300mAh so it offers between 6 and 10 hours of play on a single charge, which allows great autonomy to be able to play as long as you want.

Finally, it is important to note that Analogue Pocket will also have its own Dock. This will allow users to view the games on the big screen through an HDMI connection. And to give it added value and a much more attractive value in order to attract other types of users, the Analogue Pocket can also be used as a synthesizer with which to make music thanks to the different cables that you can connect to PC or Mac devices .
