Skateboarding is not only about practicing a sport, but nowadays, it has become a lifestyle and as a consequence and an identifying way of dressing. The great and mythical clothing brands understand that the style of skateboarding is formed by attitude but also by practicality, and this is what they offer through their clothing.

  2. Santa Cruz is the next brand we want to comment on. Like Vans, it is one of the most important and well-known brands created in 1973 by 3 friends who at the time made surfboards. It began as a brand specialized in the manufacture of skateboards creating iconic boards and graphics for them, which they later included in their clothing designs, thus being an ally for riders.
  1. Supreme stands out for selling through its lifestyle. It was created in 1994 by James Jebbia and was born out of to the passion for skateboarding of its founder. It is a brand influenced by urban culture and pop culture, and currently, it is known as a transgressive brand that creates its own trends by selling its products in a limited way and making collaborations that do not leave anyone indifferent.
  1. After moving to San Francisco, the famous New York skater Keith Hufnage founded the well-known brand HUF. Like Santa Cruz, it started out as a brand dedicated solely to the technical elements of skateboarding but due to its great success, it decided to expand its brand by creating its own line of clothing and products in 2002. After more than a decade since its creation, today HUF is a great independent brand of high quality skateboard clothing, sneakers and articles.
  1. The next brand we want to comment on is Palace, it is considered that this is the only brand that can compete with Supreme. Compared to the previous brands mentioned, Palace is a fairly recent brand since it was created in 2009 by Lev Tanju under the concept of creating clothes and accessories of the highest quality and design. Its adaptation in the market was natural and it was settling in skate and street-wear stores.

The brands, through their logo, have defined what skateboarding is today, defining an image and a specific aesthetic.
