If you like street art, the Wynwood Walls area in Miami is a must-stop on your trip! It’s the project that Tony Goldman did after finishing Miami Beach in Miami and Soho in New York. Are you ready to go? We’ll explain all you have to know in this post 😉
Basically, we can say that Wynwood Walls is considered one of the favorite destinations for artists and art lovers when they arrive in Miami. It was inaugurated in 2009, on the occasion of the famous “Art Basel” art fair, which is one of the most important art fairs in the United States and has been held in Miami for years.
What has made this area world-famous is undoubtedly the fact that it’s one of the platforms that most enhances and promotes alternative art, especially that of the Miami brand. One thing that caught our attention and surprised us when we found out is the fact that the graffiti in this open-air art gallery changes every 6 months, that is, there is a constant renewal of artwork!
The park is open all year round from Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 23:00 and on Sundays from 12:00 to 18:00. It’s an ideal place to spend a day differently and, if photography is your thing, here you’ll find a little paradise.
In 2012 the Kenny Scharf Garden was opened to the public in memory of Goldman, who passed away in September 2012. This huge garden, which you can see at 2219 NW 2nd Avenue, has a distinctly 1960s style. Here, you’ll also find drawings by Goldman himself and works by well-known artists in the world of urban art!
This is an area to spend a whole afternoon enjoying the galleries. The streets are getting more and more full of art every day, so no matter where you look, every corner is a photo spot! 😉

The Wynwood Walls are the central tour of the neighborhood. Many artists from around the world are invited to leave their mark every year.
There are guided tours that will give you a closer experience as you will learn the details of the works from experts. Also, you can explore the Graffiti museum and enter the souvenir store, where you will find photographs and posters to scale several of the artists.
This is an area visited by young and old alike. The tour takes at least an hour. When you leave, you can head to Wynwood doors, a space combined with trees and nature!
