Surprise! Sony Pictures shared the first trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on December 13, 2022, an animated feature film that follows the terrific Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse. The film is expected to hit theaters on June 2, 2023. It will be the first part of a two-part project!
As expected, the trailer shows many more alternate versions of Spider-Man from other dimensions. At the end of 2021, Sony Pictures – which is piloting the project – indicated that the hero, Miles Morales, will travel beyond his world and encounter many more variants than those he encountered in the very first film.
We suspected it, Sony Pictures did it: the trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse does contain variations of Spider-Man. Since the trailer’s release, fans have been scrambling to analyze the trailer frame by frame to try to spot all the new Spider-Man that will appear in the film – including in numerous threads on Reddit.
