MOZART MUSEUM IN SALZBURG: ON MOZART’S FOOTSTEPS
If you are a Music or Mozart freak, you will surely know that he was born in Salzburg in 1756. Specifically, he was born at number 9 Getreidegasse, in the “Hagenauer Haus”. Currently, this place in Austria is one of the most visited museums in the world, a very important tourist spot, and much visited by Mozart fans. “Hagenauer Haus”: Mozart birthplace
This was the house where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the best known and most famous son of Salzburg, was born. His family lived in one of the apartments in the third-floor house for more than 25 years. Mozart, with his parents and his sister, spent his entire childhood there, and also a large part of his youth.
In 1773, the Mozart family moved to another house, in Makartplatz, known as “Mozart Residence”.
Currently, as we have said, “Hagenauer Haus” is a very popular museum in Austria. No Mozart geek would miss it!

Yes, this place is still a magnet for fans of Mozart and his history. It was the International Mozarteum Foundation that turned the house into a museum. It should be noted that it has been constantly expanded and developed, that is why it’s a splendid visit. It’s a must-see for all visitors to Salzburg!
Mozart Walking Tour
During the museum visit, you can take a tour of more than an hour through the original rooms. In addition, you will discover a fully rebuilt middle-class apartment most amazingly and authentically possible.
