MS DOCKVILLE FESTIVAL: ENJOY ART AND MUSIC IN HAMBURG!
This August, MS Dockville, a prominent music and arts festival, is scheduled to make its comeback on Europe’s largest river island. By merging the finest elements from different domains, the three-day event strives to deliver an authentic encounter for its vast audience of over 25,000 attendees.
Originally inaugurated in 2007 within an industrial locale adjacent to the Elbe River, MS Dockville has evolved into Hamburg’s foremost creative festival. In previous editions, it showcased over 130 musical acts, encompassing established artists as well as emerging bands, across its 12 stages. The forthcoming edition guarantees an even greater lineup of performances!
More than a music festival
Beyond being just a music festival, MS Dockville offers a comprehensive cultural experience. Prior to the main event, a captivating two-week visual arts and cultural festival known as MS Artville unfolds at the same venue south of the Elbe. This unique gathering welcomes artists from around the world to create and exhibit their works in an open-air gallery, allowing them several weeks to complete their pieces.
Within the Slamville segment of MS Artville, the power of the written and spoken word takes center stage. Poets and singer/songwriters step onto the platform to share their artistic expressions, amplifying the importance of literature and performance.

Additionally, the use of motorized vehicles is strictly prohibited within the festival grounds. Instead, organizers strongly encourage attendees to utilize eco-friendly alternatives such as public transportation, shuttle buses, or bicycles to access the MS Dockville festival site. By adopting these eco-conscious transportation options, festival-goers actively contribute to the festival’s mission of promoting sustainability and minimizing environmental impact.
