What is Coachella?
Coachella is a music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, about two and a half hours east of Los Angeles Airport. Coachella is one of America’s most famous festivals, that’s why if you are a music lover, you can’t miss it!
It boasts a large list of music stars covering genres of all kinds such as indie, rock, hip-hop, and dance. It has had legendary performances from stars such as Daft Punk, Prince, Beyoncé, Radiohead and Rage Against The Machine.
Therefore, you will enjoy dozens of bands continuously playing over two three-day weekends in April in a place surrounded by art installations, with gourmet and lowbrow food options, dance parties, vintage markets, and games!
When is Coachella?
Coachella 2022, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, will be held once again in Indio, California, on a double weekend in April 2022: April 15-17 and April 22-24.
Remember that is not only a place to enjoy good music but there are also other activities that you will love, such as performing arts and fashion mix! One thing it’s impossible to know is the Coachella 2022 poster, it’s still a secret!

The last numbers reported were from 2017, with an average of 127,000 people each day, and 250,000 enjoying Coachella.
What Does Coachella Cost?
Coachella’s general admission tier one tickets cost $449, tier two tickets are $474, and if you want tier three tickets it costs $499. VIP tier one tickets will cost $929, tier two tickets cost $999, and VIP tier three it’s $1,049. Camping tickets start from $102 while ready-to-go accommodations prices start from $2,331.

Prince, 2008
Prince was the king of Coachella in 2008! It was less and less frequent to see him live, that’s why this concert was so cool for fans!
On April 26 he broke the stage with a series of covers like Sheila E’s’ The Glamorous Life ‘, The Beatles” Come Together ‘,’ Rock Lobster ‘by B-52, and even Radiohead’s ‘Creep’, which went viral on the internet.
Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg, 2012
Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg’s headlining performance at Coachella is probably the most unexpected and famous ever on stage.
Hip hop legends took their joint concert to another level by resurrecting rapper Tupac Shakur, assassinated in 1996. Fans were shocked to see the rapper’s holographic reincarnation on stage alongside Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg during ‘2 of Amerikaz Most.
Kanye West, 2011
In 2011 Kanye West led Coachella with all his “Power.” After flying over the crowd on a crane to reach a stage full of ballet dancers, Kanye delivered a theatrical set that was described as one of the best hip-hop performances ever. Before ending his performance, West dedicated it to his mother, who had passed away unexpectedly and it made history at Coachella.
