WHAT IS REGGIE WEED? RECOGNIZE IT AND JUST SPLIT!
We love to tell you things about cannabis, and if a little while ago we helped you to tell the difference between male and female cannabis, today we want to talk about Reggie weed! After reading this, you’ll be able to recognize it! 😉
Reggie weed, what is it?
Considered the black sheep of the family and a beginner’s strain as its effects are very mild, with THC levels of around 15% to 18%.
How well does the grass grow Reggie?
Do you know the phrase that you reap what you sow? It has never been truer. Reggie weed is generally grown outdoors, and while this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it can make cultivation much more difficult.
When growing indoors, you can regulate humidity levels, sunlight and temperature to create a high-quality variation. Often, growers will pay little attention to the plant’s development and simply leave it alone until it produces a decent amount of leaves, which is often not very many.
Another problem with this variety is that the female variety is fertilized, which means that it generally produces more seeds than leaves. She then uses her valuable energy on the seeds instead of the leaves, which reduces the quality of the strain!
What does Reggie Weed look like?
Now appearance isn’t everything, but in the world of strains, it can be a great indication of the quality of the weed. Many describe it as an unusual dull, dark green, or brown color. It is often dotted with lots of seeds but lacks much of the attractive crystallization you expect to see.
High-quality strains should have a fairly attractive bright green color unless they have been genetically modified.
The smell can be an important factor in determining which strain is right for you, some people prefer strong smells like Platinum Bubba Kush. This strain has a very floral and spicy aroma, which many people love. Not all high-quality strains will have a great smell, but usually, if they lack smell, they make up for it in taste or effect. Unfortunately, this cannot be said for Reggie weed, it isn’t what attracts potential buyers. The strain is often described as having a slight smell of dried hay or skunk. While not terrible, there is nothing appealing about it either.
What effects will you experience?
Reggie produces a relatively fast but mild high. Due to its low THC levels, it doesn’t have the power to create a strong psychoactive reaction. The strain is also very dry, this can often cause a lot of coughing when smoked and a very unpleasant dry mouth.
When it can be used
Okay, let’s give Reggie Weed a break. While not popular with avid cannabis smokers, it can be a decent strain for those starting out on their cannabis journey! It can ease you into smoking without having to try the more intimidating and powerful strains.
It’s also very accessible, so if you’re desperate to get your hands on it quickly, it’s entirely possible. Whereas some strains can be very specific or are simply more difficult to grow. Another reason you might choose to use Reggie is that it’s incredibly cheap, which is probably not surprising given its quality. Basically, if you’re a cannabis novice and want a cheap and accessible strain, Reggie isn’t too bad! 😉
