Ok, we told you that we were going to give you the marijuana brownie recipe, we promised, we are going to do it soon, but before, it is not superfluous to remember some aspects to keep in mind not only for this recipe but whenever you are going to cook with marijuana.
Maybe you already know it, or maybe it’s the first time you get your “hands-on the dough”. Whatever your case, we’re sure it never hurts to re-read the following tips for cooking with marijuana.
Be meticulous with the amounts of plant
There is never an average recommended dose per person, and the truth is that none of us react in the same way when consuming cannabis, and you know that the effect between smoking it or eating it is very different, mainly because the first is much faster and less lasting than the second.
So, if it is the first time you are going to cook and consume it or someone who is going to share with you this brownie for the first time, it is best to go slowly, both in its preparation and when eating it, and wait to see what effect it makes on us. It usually takes about an hour to begin to take effect, so if you have thought about smoking a bong during that time… Big mistake!
The recommended starting point is half a gram of marijuana (20% THC) for every 20 g of Brownie if it is in the bud and 2 grams if you use the remains of the manicured, but do not add more! 😉
How to use marijuana
If what you want is that, besides eating a delicious brownie, you enjoy the effect of cannabis, you have to keep in mind that for the THC to take effect, whenever you mix it with the food you will have to mix it and heat it with some fat; the most typical is usually butter, in fact, it will be the fact that we use to make this recipe!
Previously, you would have to pulverize the buds and leaves of marijuana in a grinder, collect the resin stuck with a little extra virgin olive oil, and then mix it all with butter and chocolate.
Control the temperature
The best temperature for cooking marijuana is always the lowest possible. It’s better to cook more slowly, but cannabis doesn’t lose much of its cannabinoids and terpenes for having wanted to do it before.

What ingredients do you need to make the marijuana brownie?
Write these down for a brownie meant for 8 people:
- 100 grams of butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- Half a cup of flour
- 200 grams of chocolate for melting, if possible, special dessert chocolate
- 4 grams of marijuana (0.5 g for each guest)

Steps to make the cannabis brownie
First, we heat the oven to 120ºC (it won’t cost us anything to prepare the dough, so ideally it should be ready to put our mixture in as soon as we finish preparing it).
Next, we’ll heat a frying pan, to which we’ll add the butter and the chocolate that we’ll mix little by little.
While this is being done, in a bowl, add the eggs, sugar, and flour, and beat. You can do it with a fork or, to be honest, the easiest way (although it isn’t, gastronomically speaking, the most professional) is to use the mixer and in half, a second everything is mixed and without unpleasant lumps.
Finally, you add the chocolate and the marijuana which will have to be very well crushed, and you put it in the oven. How long? It depends on your patience, but at approximately 120 degrees in 60 minutes, you’ll have it. To find out, you only have to open the oven after that time, prick the brownie with the tip of a knife and if the cake comes out clean, it’s ready!
When you take it out, unless you are in a hurry, or you feel like eating it, the idea is to wait until it cools down a bit, so it doesn’t feel like a bomb to your stomach, but if you feel like it, you can also accompany it with a scoop of ice cream, which will make the contrast that your stomach needs.
